Jonathan is appointed His Majesty The King of Bhutan’s Special Envoy to India for Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) and sits on the Board of ITE Education Services Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE). He is also co-Founder of Huntington Sistem Global Pte Ltd, a Singapore-Türkiye joint venture company.
Prior to this, Jonathan served as Singapore's Ambassador to Türkiye, Deputy High Commissioner to India, Bhutan, and Nepal, and First Secretary (Political) to the United Nations in New York. Notably, he oversaw Singapore’s strategic engagement with India and South Asia from 2011 to 2018. He was conferred the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal) by the President of Singapore in 2019.
A graduate from the National University of Singapore and Georgetown University, Jonathan was awarded the US Fulbright scholarship in 2004.
